 638 E. 19th Street Chattanooga, TN 37408 Above Garage House Details

Here’s the details about getting inside the house, parking, and other important details. There’s lot’s of information below but I prefer to over-communicate rather than under-communicate, so be sure to read through the details below thoroughly.

I’ll let you let yourself in to the apartment (self check in), but please let me know if you need anything at all. We live in the large house in the front of the property, so I can chat with you in person if you need anything or have questions. Feel free to text me at 806-335-6450 if anything comes up. But the above garage house is completely separate and private from our home as it’s built on top of our garage. We love to go out to eat and go on hikes and bike rides all the time, so let me know if you need any suggestions at all on things to do. 

When you pull up, you’ll have to pull around to the back of the house in the alleyway and park in front of our garage. So when you arrive at the address listed (which is 638 E. 19th) you’ll need to pull around to the back. To enter the alley by car, you’ll need to pull around to the left (when facing the main house at 638 E. 19th). See above photo. 

You’ll see the alleyway entrance just around the corner (pictured in red above with the garage apartment circled in red). We do not use the garage for our cars, so parking in front of the garage is fine!

You must park your car a little sideways (as seen in the photo) so that my neighbors can still get through the alley without your car blocking the path. It’s ok if your car is sticking out, but just make sure you’re parked at a 45 degree angle to give more space.

To get inside the apartment, you’ll go through the side gate that’s to the left of the garage that has a tiny white Airbnb logo (circled in the pic). 

Then you’ll go through the side gate, and walk to the fence with another white Airbnb logo, the take a right turn to go up the stairs to enter the apartment. 

I’m not sure if you read all the house details on our Airbnb listing but the house is built close to some train tracks, which come though night and day. But they don’t make much noise (just a very low hum) or sometimes they’ll clank together and sometimes you’ll hear a high pitched sound that’s the train car wheels rubbing against the tracks. It shouldn’t bother you at all because it’s very minimal, but just in case, we have two white noise machines beside the bed in the master bedroom. They work super great and they drown out any noises so you can sleep without interruption. There’s two settings on the white noise machines (high and low)....I would recommend the high setting if you’re a light sleeper….so I just wanted to make sure you’re aware of that too!

I’m not sure if your group needs to use the sofa bed, but for the sofa bed, you can pull out the bed from inside the sofa. But the sofa bed has a little design flaw where if you sit or stand at the foot of the sofa bed when folded out, the bar will bend and make the bed very uncomfortable to sleep in. So if you are using the sofa bed, please make sure that no one sits or stands or gets on or off at the foot of the bed (which is circled in red above in the pic above) and only sits or gets on/off the bed on the sides (circled in green in the pic above. This will make sure the bed frame doesn’t get bent when being used and will allow for a much more comfortable night’s sleep! Or you can just use the twin bunkbeds located in the large walk in closet if you prefer. 

Please make sure not to flush **any** wipes or feminine products down the toilet. The house plumbing is run with a sump pump, which is a pump that attaches to the main house pluming. It will cause the sump pump to become clogged and overflow into our backyard. So it’s super important to **only** flush human waste and toilet paper down the toilet and nothing else. Thanks so much!

Because the apartment is so new, we haven’t been able to buy any couch pillows of a throw blanket for when you’re sitting on the couch. let me know if thats a problem and ill bring you a throw blanket! you can grab an extra bed pillow from the closet to make the couch more comfortable! Also, the vacuum battery is dead, i ordered another one, but the vacuum won’t work. Theres a broom and dust pan, but let me know if you need a vacuum and ill leave it out for you to use! 

The filter water spout on the fridge to get filtered water is located inside the left drawer when you open it up. You press the bottom and water comes out below. Lastly, the password for the wifi is chattanoogaisawesome and it’s misspelled on the fridge haha. Typo i havent fixed.
